Black Diamond Distance Spike Traction Device

The Distance Spike is Black Diamond’s pinnacle traction device. Designed for trail running and walking, it features 14 stainless-steel spikes that enhance grip on snow and ice and improve stability on rocky surfaces. The spikes are heat-treated for superior strength, corrosion and durability. Easy to put on over your shoes, the softshell toe cover fits close and comfortably and provides additional snow protection.

These are not crampons. They are not designed for mountaineering, winter hill walking or any steep terrain where proper crampons are required.
