Montane Gecko Vest Pack 5+

With the Montane Gecko Vest Pack 5+ you can wear, rather than carry, your kit when running on trails and in the mountains. It boasts an anatomically driven, body-hugging, gecko-inspired fit. The material is specifically designed to stretch more horizontally than it will vertically – this means that while the vest will give a secure fit, it won’t bounce. There are two adjustable stretch chest straps with multiple attachment points, so you can place them at a height that suits your body, plus a lower Montane Active Strap which provides a secure, non-restrictive fit that can be released quickly. The roll-away function enables you to secure any excess strap. The Air Mesh back is durable, padded and will wick moisture away from the body. Plus, it’s treated with Polygiene permanent odour control to stop the growth of bacteria from sweat, preventing your vest from smelling even after long days.

The Gecko VP 5+ ensures you can carry everything you need comfortably and keep plenty of items accessible without having to take the pack off. There are five litres of storage in the main pocket at the back, perfect for extra layers, and accessible pockets at the side and front for everything you might need on the go. The included 500ml Montane UltraFlasks fit at the chest but could also be placed in the zipped pockets and used with straws to take the pressure off the chest if that is a more comfortable fit for you. The front zipped pockets are also big enough to carry a smartphone. At the rear, an integrated bungee offers some extra storage or can be used for compression when the pack is less full. Bungee cords at the sides offer multiple pole-holding options, and they can be moved to the rear if you prefer.
